On the Colleagues screen, you can view and manage your connections with colleagues who are also using the NurseBrite mobile app.
View connected colleagues
The "Connected" tab shows a list of colleagues you have already connected with.
Upon joining a partner facility, you are automatically connected with other colleagues in the same facility. Colleagues from non-partner facilities are connected by invitation only.
Connect with colleagues (non-partner facility)
Colleagues who joined the same non-partner facility are not connected by default and are listed under the "Suggested" tab.
Connecting with a colleague allows you to see each other's shifts on the schedule, providing some convenience when managing your own shifts. To connect, bring up the Colleague action sheet by tapping the corresponding name in the list, then tap the CONNECT button to send an invitation. Repeat this process for all those you would like to connect with. You can use filters or search by name to quickly find the colleague you are looking for.
The colleague will be notified of your invitation. Once your invitation is accepted, the colleague's name will disappear from the Suggested tab and appears under the Connected tab.
Accept/ignore invitations
Likewise, when colleagues from the same non-partner facility want to connect with you, you will receive notifications, and their invitations will also show up under the Invitations tab. To accept an invitation, tap on the corresponding name to bring up the Colleague action sheet, then tap the ACCEPT button.
If you do not recognize the person who wants to connect with you or prefer not to connect with some colleagues, you can choose to ignore their invitations by tapping the IGNORE button on the action sheet.
Manage connections (non-partner facility)
Besides connecting with colleagues from non-partner facilities, you also have the option to remove existing connections or block certain colleagues.
Remove connection
On the Connected tab, tap the name of the colleague you want to remove to bring up the Colleague action sheet. Then, tap the options symbol (three vertical dots) on the top right and choose Remove this colleague option. An alert will pop up asking you to confirm.
After a connection is removed, the colleague's name will disappear from the Connected tab and appear s under the Suggested tab. If needed, you can connect with the colleague again.
You can also remove connections when viewing colleagues of a non-partner facility on the Daily details screen. Find the colleague you want to remove. Tap the options symbol to the right of the name and choose Remove this colleague option. An alert will pop up asking you to confirm.
Block colleague
You can block a colleague regardless if you are connected. Thus this function is accessible under any of the tabs on the Colleague screen (Connected, Suggested, or Invitations). Tap the name of the colleague you want to block to bring up the Colleague action sheet. Then, tap the options symbol (three vertical dots) on the top right and choose Block this colleague option. An alert will pop up asking you to confirm.
Names of blocked colleagues will disappear from all tab(s) on the Colleague screen. You can unblock them in the Settings.
You can also block colleagues from the Daily details screen when viewing colleagues of a non-partner facility. Find the colleague you want to block. Tap the options symbol to the right of the name and choose Block this colleague option. An alert will pop up asking you to confirm.
Unblock colleague
Blocked colleagues can be unblocked from the Settings screen. Refer to the section in the unblock colleagues section for more details.
