The Home screen provides a convenient way to browse your activities. Information on this screen is organized in two sections - the weekly summary and the daily view.
Weekly summary
This section shows you the total number of shifts, workings hours, and events you have in the "current" week. The week you are currently viewing can be changed in the Daily view section below.
Daily view
This section consists of the weekday row and the activity list. Tap any date in the weekday row to view the list of activities on that day, or swipe left/right on the activity list to go to the previous/next day. To navigate by week, swipe left/right on the weekday row. And when the week changes, information shown in the Weekly summary section above will update accordingly.
View daily details
Tapping a shift or an event in the activity list takes you to the Daily details screen, where you can view more details on the shift/event, along with access to other information such as the list of colleagues working on that day.
Each facility you have joined is shown as a card on this screen. And if you have a shift or an event in a facility on that day, details of the shift/event are shown on the respective card.
When a shift has additional details such as comments, flags, or sitter room numbers, an info symbol (a circle with the letter “i” inside) will show up on the card. Tapping it brings up an action sheet showing these additional details.
Regardless if you have any activities on the selected date, you can tap the Colleagues button on each facility card to view the list of colleagues working in your unit on that day.
If you have a request pending approval on the selected date, a Request button will appear on the corresponding facility card, as well as a red dot indicator in its top right corner. Tapping the Request button takes you to the Request details screen. Refer to the requests chapter for more details on how to handle requests.
View notifications
Tapping the bell symbol on the top bar takes you to the Notifications screen, where all your notifications are listed in chronological order - newer notifications are shown on top of older ones.
Each item in the list shows the essential information about the notification. Tapping on a notification item takes you to the corresponding screen. For example, tapping a swap request approval notification would take you to the Request details screen showing details of that swap request.
Unread notifications will initially appear with a light blue background. Tapping on unread notifications automatically marks them as read. To mark all notifications as read, tap the Read all button on the top bar.
Important notifications
Notifications about updates that may concern whether you need to be at your facility are regarded as "important", such as the approval/rejection of your request, the assignment of a new shift, etc. Important notifications are marked with a flag symbol on them.
When you have unread notifications marked as "important", an alert will pop up every time you open the NurseBrite mobile app to remind you to check those notifications.
